Alpharetta is in Georgia, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Alpharetta follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Called at 9:10 to make a 9:45 COVID test appointment for my husband and me. We got there early at 9:37 and were out by 9:43! Incredibly fast drive thru testing. It was VERY organized and easy, and the staff was very nice!

Got tested here in mid-August. Calling up to get an appointment was pretty easy BUT you’re not actually making an appointment you’re just registering. The medical people on site conducting the testing are not doing the most important part. They are making you insert the nasal swab yourself while they stand there and watch you. The best way to ensure it’s being done right is to have a medical professional do it. I guess they are trying to save on protective gear because this way they don’t have to change gloves and they don’t have to wear gowns. I don’t really trust a test I had to do on myself that was designed to be done by a professional but the results came back the next day so I guess that’s a plus.

Covid testing is a HUGE undertaking. Even with an appointment there is a line of traffic outside the test facility waiting to turn into the actual facility. I’m curious if the test facility parking lot can handle this type of volume? This could very easily be an all day event with or without an appt. Perhaps requiring appointments only at a drive up location that cannot handle the vehicular volume would be a way to proceed in the future? I had gone to a test facility in Maryland that was strictly “drive up” and this facility was placed in a oversized parking lot at a six flags America which could handle the vehicular line that this sort of testing creates. That entire testing experience took 30 mins without appointment. This is my second trip (same day) in order to get tested. Maybe my experience could help with future testing. Thanks again. *UPDATE*: After 2.5HRS if waiting in the drive up line I was finally able to get tested.
